Deceptively big! We have an entire extra floor dedicated to play space with seperated rooms for noise! Upper Story is a branch of STEM games that challenge and tech concepts like electronics, Physics and Computing! They are an amazing range that we are lucky to be able to get into the country. Upper Story STEM games include Spintronics, Bridge or Bust, and Turing Tumble.

Valkyrie Games runs regular D&D sessions including beginner-friendly and Open Group campaigns every Tuesday at 6:00pm! Just turn up to play, only $2!

Yes, no experience is required to join. We also have dice and character sheets! It's all sorted out for you. Open group is the longest running open access D&D group in the country, with dozens of players turning up every week for over 10 years!

Valkyrie Games is one of Palmerston North's premier locations for Warhammer and miniature gaming. We have dedicated gaming space, a huge terrain library, and a welcoming community of players.

Our regular Warhammer night is every Wednesday from 6:00pm onwards. It's a great opportunity to find opponents, meet other hobbyists, and get games in. You'll often find players in store at other times throughout the week as well.

Absolutely. We have open gaming tables available much of the time, making it easy to organise games with friends or challenge other members of the community. We also have regular Slow Leagues, just ask in store!

The One Piece Card Game is a trading card game based on Eiichiro Oda's legendary manga and anime series. Players build decks around iconic leaders and crews from throughout the world of One Piece. The game play at a local level is fast paced 35 Minutes rounds, best of one.

Starter Decks are the easiest way to get into the game. They provide everything you need to begin playing immediately and are designed to teach the game's mechanics while remaining fun and competitive.

Yes. The One Piece Card Game has a thriving organised play scene with tournaments ranging from local events all the way through to regional and championship-level competition.

We have an awesome group of players who turn up regularly and can give a breadth of different styles of decks to play against.

Yes, we offer shipping within New Zealand only. We do not ship internationally.

We charge a flat rate of $10 NZD per order for most products. This helps cover packaging and courier costs.There are a few oversized and very oversized games where we charge more. And a few very heavy games (like Frosthaven) that we do not ship

We use New Zealand Post (covered couriers). All orders are sent with a tracking number.

Returns or exchanges are accepted if the item is faulty or not fit for purpose. Items must be returned in original condition with tags and packaging. Sale or discounted items are generally not eligible for return at full price.

Reply to your order confirmation email to request a return. Once approved, you can either post the item back or return it in person to the store (134 King Street, Palmerston North). Refunds will be issued minus the original shipping cost.

You can choose store credit, an exchange for a different product, or a refund to your original payment method.

The customer is responsible for return shipping costs (and any customs fees if applicable).
