What You Do in the Game
What the game is about
Bridge or Bust is about building a bridge/bridges to dog park island. It is dog themed. It shows you how you need to set up the bridge, and the limitations- like where you are NOT allowed to put supports. Then you have to build a bridge! But not any sort of bridge, a bridge that can hold a specific amount of weight! It can be very tricky, but it is normally the type of bridge that the puzzle book has just been talking about. That is a tip for you!
Then when you think it is good, put the weights on the special car and wind it up and then drive it across the bridge. If the car makes it across, and pops up the flag with no breaks in the bridge and no magnets popping out of their grooves, then you win! And you get to pull down the tab for that bridge in the map. And you get to move on towards Dog Park Island (you can choose different ways to get there).
How easy it is to understand
It is easy at first but gets harder and harrrrrder and harrrrrrrrrrrrrrrder. The book that comes with the game is easy to understand and has a really cool comic to read. The book helps you learn about bridges and I have already read through it twice.
Is it cool and different?
It is cool and different, I really like the game because I am going to be an inventor when I grow up and I like to think of solutions. And even though the puzzles might be really hard and I might fail a lot of times, if you just keep on keep on trying then you can find a solution.
How Hard It Is
Starting puzzles
At the first few puzzles it shows you the solution, or it has solutions just before the puzzle. It gets easier though when you learn the trick which is to just keep trying and adjusting till you get it!
Later puzzles
I haven't got that far yet, but the later ones that I have done are tricky. But you learn stuff from the other bridges as you go and then you have all these tricks to help build the next bridge.
What It Teaches You
What you learn
You learn how to build bridges. You also learn that triangles are a really good shape to build bridges with, the stronger the triangles the better the bridge I think! In my design for one of the puzzles I made some supports from above, which weren't enough. So I talked to my dad and we decided it needed some support underneath and we figured it out together.
Does it feel good to solve?
Yes, it is very good when the little flag goes up at the end of the bridge, it lets you know that your build was a good one.
Can You Play It Again?
How long it stays fun
I have been playing it for the last few days and it is still really exciting for me! The real thing is that it has a LOT of puzzles to do! But also you can make your own constructions. So I don’t know for sure but I don’t think I would ever get bored of it!

Really good and simple to understand the building bridges part- the comic makes it easier and a lot of fun.
Pieces
Hard to assemble! There are a lot of pieces in bridge or bust when you open it for the first time and we had to put them all together the first time! (Some assembly required) But once it’s built it’s really easy because all of the pieces go together with no effort! And then it is built forever, the put together pieces fit in the box nicely. The Bridges come apart really easily, apart from the occasional clip that holds on! But I manage to take it apart and put it together myself pretty easily really.

Happy, because I feel really good once I have solved a puzzle and get to move on to the next one.
The Best and Worst Parts

It is hard to assemble the first time, give yourself some time for this.
