Board? at Valkyrie: Everdell Silverfrost

A board game review by Becks Sharp

I love playing board games and getting to play new board games is even better! Last week we played Silverfrost.

Silverfrost is the next installment from the Everdell world and it's very cute. I have to admit the snow flurries threw me off a bit and I wasn't so keen on them, but once we got the hang of it they added a fun new element to the Everdell world.

Instead of a tree you have a snow capped mountain and when you prepare for season you get snow flurries that go in your town and on the board. You can melt these away by using fire, you keep the flurry tokens though as they can earn you bonus points at the end.

The goals are a long the same lines as Everdell as you are creating a woodland city but with new elements of snow and new characters it makes it a lot of fun, also you get to put cool little snow shoes on one of your characters to make it a ranger that can go to places other characters can not.

Definitely one that I would love to play again - especially now I understand about the snow.
Join us every other Thursday evening for our board game evening!
