Meet the Team #2 Matt!

1 - Who are you, what do you do here and how long have you been with the team?

My name is Matt, wrangling is the best description of what I do. One Piece, Grand Archive, and most wrangly of all Open Group and High-level D&D. Boy howdy, do those need some wrangling (big thanks to my fellow wranglers- the GMs who do all the heavy lifting and the Players who remind me when I forget things!). Also, I deal with the non-war hammers (fixing tables, chairs, building walls, and mounting dragon heads). I have been with the team since it could be called a team- I committed some terrible sin in a previous life.

2 - What is your favourite board game?

Mists over Carcassonne is fun, co-op (So you don’t have to deal with grumpy losers), and tile placement (for ease of explaining the rules). I do play games with my 7-year-old boy, which explains the importance of those two criteria (also it is awesome)

3 - What’s your favourite DnD class or build?

So many builds to look at! I’ll be honest, I am a bit of a forever GM so I don't play very much. But I like Wizards and Druids a lot. With Druids I like the moon druid build, even if some people find them too complicated to bear (ha haaaaaa) and Wizards for shenanigans. In Pathfinder, I like a ranger. Shooty shoot shoot shoot.

4 - Who is your favourite commander in MTG?

Hmmm, Kadena (Morphs!) or Merieke Ri Berit (all the esper kill spells) would be my favourites at the moment. But honestly I am playing a lot more of One Piece (Red Purple Luffy) and Grand Archive (Lorraine) than commander at the moment.

5 - What games are you playing right now?

Grand Archive, One Piece, MTG. Always a roleplaying game of some sort (at the moment it's the Iron Kingdoms take on 5e D&D).

6 - What games do you wish you had more time for?

Probably Grand Archive or One Piece, the days for those are busy enough that it is difficult to join in! (The curse of trying to sneak in games while working)

7 - What’s your go-to drink from the drinks fridge?

Literally any Monster energy drink, I have the taste buds of a 20 year old (but a body much older than that which probably isn’t a great mix)
